Honor has officially announced a breakthrough in satellite communication technology with its upcoming Honor Magic 6 series. Scheduled to be unveiled at a product launch event on January 10-11, the Honor Magic 6 series, along with MagicOS 8.0, is set to feature the innovative Honor Hongyan satellite communication technology.

This new satellite communication solution aims to reshape the way mobile satellite communications are handled, offering consumers the joy of ubiquitous connectivity. The Honor Hongyan satellite communication has achieved three key technological advancements: reduced size, faster connection, and lower power consumption.

Li Kun, the General Manager of Honor’s flagship phones, spoke at the 2023 Digital Ecology Conference’s Satellite Mobile Communication Industry Development Forum. He highlighted that the company’s self-developed satellite communication technology has successfully overcome challenges related to antenna size, call endurance, and communication experience.

This development promises to provide consumers with the smallest, most stable, and most energy-efficient mobile satellite communication experience.

The Honor Magic 6 series will also be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen3 mobile platform and incorporate a 7-billion-side AI large model. This makes the Honor Magic 6 series the most powerful high-end flagship in Honor’s history, generating considerable anticipation.
