Honor’s CEO Zhao Ming Teases New Purple Color of Honor Magic 6

On January 3rd, Honor CEO Zhao Ming unveiled a new color variant for the Honor Magic6 – “Flowing Cloud Purple.” Zhao Ming shared that the CMF (Color, Material, Finish) design of the Honor Magic6 series is inspired by the majestic landscapes of China. Specifically, the Flowing Cloud Purple color draws inspiration from the dawn scenery at Qinghai Lake, where the light purple hues of the early morning sun reflect off the lake’s ripples, creating a stunning interplay of water and clouds.

The phone’s design is further enhanced with gold accents, reminiscent of the morning sun shining on the lake’s surface. The back cover, crafted from a unique suede material, replicates the layered ripples of the lake, offering a rich sense of depth and a distinctive texture.

In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the Honor Magic6’s rear camera module design incorporates elements of ancient Chinese charm. The external contour of the module adopts a classic “pillow” shape – a square with rounded corners, which is a form with a long history. This shape is not only a symbol of China’s five-thousand-year civilization, as seen in the jade cong from the Sanxingdui site, but it’s also a popular diamond cut from the 19th century and a shape commonly found in century-old luxury wristwatches.

Recently, Zhao Ming also introduced another color variant for the series, “Sea Lake Green,” which is likely made from a special glass material. This color is inspired by the grand natural landscapes of the earth, bringing the vitality of nature to the phone’s back cover.

Both the Flowing Cloud Purple and Sea Lake Green variants offer high recognition value, especially the unique suede texture of the Flowing Cloud Purple and the distinctive triple-camera design.

Moreover, the Honor Magic6 series boasts another significant feature – the Hongyan satellite communication technology. This proprietary satellite communication technology developed by Honor overcomes challenges related to antenna size, call endurance, and communication experience, enabling two-way communication.

In conclusion, the Honor Magic6 series, with its new color variants and advanced satellite communication technology, represents a blend of aesthetic innovation and technological advancement, reflecting Honor’s commitment to integrating cultural elements into modern technology.
