Moto G Play 2024 Details Exposed Earlier Than Launch

Following the release of the Moto G Play (2023) in December 2022, Motorola is now gearing up to introduce its successor, the Moto G Play (2024). Although the official launch date has not been confirmed by Lenovo’s Motorola, detailed specifications and renders of the new model have been leaked by OnLeaks in collaboration with Smartmania.

The Moto G Play (2024) is expected to feature a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, offering a smoother visual experience. The design includes a punch-hole display with slimmer side bezels, although the chin will be relatively wider. The device will house its power and volume buttons on the right edge.

For connectivity, the bottom of the phone will have a USB Type-C port, a speaker grille, and a microphone, while the top will accommodate a 3.5mm audio jack. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner, integrated into the power button, will also be part of the design.

Moto G Play 2024 Camera And Processor

In terms of hardware, the Moto G Play (2024) will be powered by a Qualcomm processor and will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card slot. Unlike its predecessor, which had a triple-camera setup, the 2024 model will feature a single 50MP rear camera capable of recording 4K videos. For selfies and video calls, an 8MP front-facing camera will be included.

Moto G Play 2024 Android 13 and 5000mAh Battery

The device will be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, ensuring extended usage. It will run on Android 13 right out of the box and will be available in several color options. The Moto G Play (2024) is expected to be priced at around $169 (approximately Rs 14,100 in India). According to Smartmania, the smartphone is likely to be officially launched next month.
