Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 And Dimensity 9300 Leads AnTuTu December Performance List

In the latest Android performance rankings for December 2023 released by AnTuTu, significant changes were observed in both the flagship and sub-flagship categories. MediaTek emerged as the biggest winner in terms of number, with the vivo X100 and iQOO Neo 9 Pro, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, securing the second and third positions with their 16GB+1TB storage combinations.

The top three spots were dominated by MediaTek, with the vivo X100 closely trailing the OnePlus 12 by just about 2000 points, indicating a minimal performance gap. AnTuTu highlighted the impressive high-load performance of the Dimensity 9300 this year.

The Dimensity 9300’s success is attributed to its groundbreaking all-big-core design, featuring a Cortex-X4 super-large core with a maximum frequency of 3.25GHz and four Cortex-A720 large cores at 2.0GHz. This design balances high performance with energy efficiency. The all-big-core architecture allows the system to automatically identify and prioritize important tasks, reducing waiting time and handling high-load scenarios more efficiently, while also extending battery life during regular use.

In the sub-flagship category, the Redmi K70E, equipped with the Dimensity 8300-Ultra, made a significant impact, leading the category with a score of 1.41 million, far surpassing the second-place Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 by nearly 300,000 points. The Dimensity 8300-Ultra, manufactured using TSMC’s 4nm process, inherits flagship features from the Dimensity 9300, including the same manufacturing process, storage specifications, ISP architecture, and AI architecture.

The Dimensity 8300-Ultra features an eight-core processor design with 1xA715 at 3.35GHz, 3xA715 at 3.2GHz, and 4xA510 at 2.2GHz, offering a 20% increase in peak CPU performance and a 30% reduction in power consumption compared to the previous generation. Its GPU, the Mali G615 MC6, offers a 60% increase in peak performance and a 55% reduction in power consumption compared to its predecessor.

The Redmi K70E, powered by the Dimensity 8300-Ultra, has emerged as a new price-performance leader in the 2000 RMB segment. The Dimensity 8300-Ultra, showcased by the Redmi K70E, is expected to be featured in more models shortly, making it a highly anticipated processor in the market.
