Qualcomm’s most radical GPU! Snapdragon 8 Gen4 GPU frequency exposed: Xiaomi’s first

 Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 integrates Adreno 830 GPU with a frequency of 1250MHz.

Compared with the 1GHz GPU frequency of the leading version of Snapdragon 8 Gen3, the Adreno 830 GPU frequency is higher, which is the most aggressive mobile GPU in Qualcomm’s history.

In terms of CPU, Snapdragon 8 Gen4 uses the self-developed Oryon core, which consists of 2 super cores and 6 large cores. The super core has a main frequency of 4.09GHz and the large core has a main frequency of 2.78GHz.

In terms of running scores, the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 single-core score is 2884, and the multi-core score is 8840. The running scores of the mass-produced machines will set new records. This will be the most powerful mobile phone chip in the Android camp.

This chip will officially debut in October and will be launched globally for the Xiaomi 15 series.

It is worth noting that the price of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 chips will increase. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo released a report pointing out that the price of Snapdragon 8 Gen4 is 25%-30% higher than the current flagship chip, and the price is between US$190 and US$200.

The main reason for the price increase is that Snapdragon 8 Gen4 uses TSMC’s latest and more expensive N3E process.
