Honor has recently unveiled its latest mid-range smartphones, the Honor 100 and Honor 100 Pro, each boasting distinctive features and designs.
The Honor 100 is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, while the Honor 100 Pro makes a notable entry into the mid-range market with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Qualcomm’s flagship SoC from the previous year.
This makes the Honor 100 Pro one of the most affordable smartphones to feature such a high-end processor. Both models are equipped with a 50 MP selfie camera capable of recording 4K videos, a standout feature for mid-range devices.
The Honor 100 Pro further enhances its front camera setup with an additional camera, though specific details about this secondary front camera have not been disclosed by Honor.
The rear camera configurations of these smartphones are equally impressive. Both the Honor 100 and Honor 100 Pro feature a 50 MP f/1.95 main camera based on the Sony IMX906 sensor, accompanied by a 12 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera.
The Honor 100 Pro takes it a step further by including a 32 MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), adding more versatility to its photography capabilities.
Battery life and charging options are also noteworthy. Both models come with a substantial 5000 mAh battery, supporting up to 100 watts of fast charging via USB-C. The Honor 100 Pro exclusively offers wireless charging at 66 watts, adding to its premium features. In terms of software, both smartphones ship with MagicOS 7.2, which is based on Android 13, ensuring users have access to the latest Android features and security updates.
The combination of powerful processors, advanced camera systems, and fast charging capabilities positions the Honor 100 and Honor 100 Pro as strong contenders in the mid-range smartphone market, offering an interesting balance of features and price.
