Huawei nova 14 is reported to be pre-installed with native Hongmeng OS: incompatible with Android APK

Blogger Dingjiao Digital revealed that the Huawei nova 14 series will be a model with a relatively long sales cycle. The series will be equipped with a new native Hongmeng system, and the super cup version is expected to upgrade to the Kirin 9 series chip.

Earlier at the Mate Brand Ceremony held in November last year, Yu Chengdong stated that all new mobile phones and tablets launched by Huawei in 2025 will be equipped with native Hongmeng.

It is reported that the native Hongmeng is based on the Hongmeng kernel, and has achieved completely independent research and development from the operating system kernel, file system to programming language, AI framework and large models, and is no longer compatible with Android App. This is my country’s first domestically produced mobile operating system and the world’s third largest mobile operating system after Apple’s iOS and Android systems.

It is worth noting that due to the unexpected sales of the nova 13 series, Huawei ranked first in Q4 2024 (W39-W52) with 13.0878 million new phone activations and a market share of 18.04%.
