Huawei P40/Mate 30 series and other devices get the official version of HarmonyOS 4.2

 Huawei has recently opened a batch of new devices to upgrade to the official version of HarmonyOS 4.2, including 27 mobile phones and 4 tablets such as Huawei P40/Mate30, Honor 30/V30 series.

This upgrade adds new features such as shake permission management, WLAN network automatic connection switch, interactive themes, etc. The system package size is approximately 6.99 GB.

It is worth noting that the Huawei P40/Mate30 and Honor 30/V30 series were all flagship phones equipped with Kirin 990 that year, and they have made great contributions.

In particular, the Honor 30/V30 series, which has a starting price of only 3,299 yuan, is equipped with the same 5G chip as Huawei’s top flagship. In today’s words, it can be regarded as a “price butcher.”

After these old flagships are upgraded to the new system, the fluency will be further improved, and new features will also be added.

The main new features of HarmonyOS 4.2 include the newly added geometric party theme, geometric sticker theme, mood party theme, and mood sticker theme.

Improve the user experience in various scenarios such as application launch, task switching, and sliding operations. Add a new WLAN network automatic connection switch to individually control whether to automatically connect to a previously connected WLAN network.

In addition, HarmonyOS 4.2 controls the permissions that apps obtain to access device directions, blocks “shake” ads within apps, and provides users with a purer app experience.
