According to the official website of the JEDEC Solid State Technology Association, the latest UFS specification currently published is UFS 4.0 in August 2022, with a theoretical interface speed of up to 46.4Gbps. It is expected that UFS 4.1 will achieve further improvements in transmission speed.
Hynix showcased two UFS 4.1 universal flash memory products with capacities of 512GB and 1TB respectively, both based on 321-layer stacked V9 1Tb TLC NAND flash memory .
In addition, SK Hynix also exhibited the industry-leading 3.2Gbps V9 2Tb QLC and 3.6Gbps high-speed V9H 1Tb TLC particles for the first time.
In addition, Hynix also exhibited ZUFS (Zoned UFS) samples that can improve data management efficiency. These products are based on V7 512Gb TLC NAND and provide 512GB and 1TB capacities. ZUFS 4.0 products are expected to enter mass production in the third quarter of this year.
