MediaTek’s most powerful chip! Dimensity 9400 is preheated: will be launched in October

MediaTek CEO Cai Lixing announced in a public event that MediaTek Dimensity 9400 will debut in October.

It is reported that the Dimensity 9400 is first equipped in the vivo X200 series. This is MediaTek’s most powerful mobile phone chip. This chip is the first to use the Arm Cortex-X925 super core, with a performance improvement of 36% compared to the X4 and an AI performance improvement of 41%.

Not only that, the Dimensity 9400 integrates the new Immortalis-G925 GPU. Compared with the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor, the GPU performance of the Dimensity 9400 is improved by up to 30%, and the power consumption is saved by 40% at the same performance.

In terms of ray tracing performance, the Dimensity 9400 has also seen an improvement. According to leaked information, the ray tracing performance of the Dimensity 9400 has increased by nearly 20% compared to the previous generation.

In addition, Dimensity 9400 will also be the first to launch OMM (ray tracing accelerator), a top-level ray tracing technology comparable to that on PC, on mobile platforms, significantly improving the picture quality of ray tracing games on mobile devices.

In addition, the Dimensity 9400 will adopt TSMC’s advanced 3nm process, which is MediaTek’s first 3nm mobile phone chip.
