Samsung Galaxy S25 comes with Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition as global standard

 Samsung Galaxy S25 series is expected to be released in January next year, with three models: S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra.

Today, digital blogger “i冰宇宙” stated that all global versions of the Samsung S25 series will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite (Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition).

The blogger said, don’t believe in various rumors, Exynos 2500 will not be adopted.

It is understood that recently, the Samsung S25+ equipped with Exynos 2500 appeared on the Geekbench 6 running point platform.

The running points show that the new phone model is SM-S936B, with a single-core score of 2359 points and a multi-core score of 8141 points, which is still some distance away from the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition.

At that time, it was revealed that the new phone would be launched in the European market.

It is reported that the biggest reason why Exynos 2500 failed to make it into the S25 series is that the yield rate is lower than expected and cannot be mass-produced.

Exynos 2500 is Samsung’s second-generation 3nm process chip. Compared with the previous generation 4nm FinFET process, energy efficiency and density are expected to increase by 20% to 30%.

As for the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition, this is Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful flagship chip in Qualcomm’s history. It uses TSMC’s second-generation 3nm process. The CPU uses Qualcomm’s self-developed Oryon architecture. It has 2 super cores + 6 large cores, and the super core frequency is as high as 4.32GHz.
