Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra camera first exposed: 3x telephoto upgrade after 5 generations

The well-known digital blogger @i冰宇宙 revealed that the camera specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra have been exposed.
The 3x telephoto lens has gone through 5 generations of iterations and finally got upgraded on this flagship phone to be released next year .

It is reported that since the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Samsung has been equipped with a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto lens. After 4 years and 5 generations of product iterations, the 3x telephoto lens of the Galaxy S26 Ultra has finally been upgraded from 10 million pixels to 12 million pixels.

In addition, the main camera of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra phone is still 200 million pixels, but it is not yet certain whether it will be upgraded to a new sensor. It is speculated that it is likely to use the same sensor as the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

In terms of telephoto lens, the phone is still equipped with 2 telephoto lenses. In addition to the 3x telephoto, it has a 50-megapixel 5x periscope telephoto lens with F1.9 aperture, supports phase focus and optical image stabilization, which is consistent with the S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra.

The ultra-wide-angle lens is expected to use the 50-megapixel solution of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. After all, upgrading from 12 million pixels to 50 million pixels is already a huge leap, and it is unlikely to be upgraded again in a short period of time.
