Xiaomi Mi 18 Standard Edition Specifications Revealed:

According to blogger @熊猫很禿然, the Xiaomi 18 standard edition is expected to be released around December, and some of its specifications have also been revealed.

The Xiaomi 18 standard edition will maintain the small-size design, featuring a 6.4-inch 1.5K M11 flat screen, which is also expected to use SuperPixel technology, making it comparable to the smaller-screen Pro version.

The design continues the family language of the Xiaomi 18 series, but without a back screen, making it closer to the traditional candybar flagship design.

The core performance is powered by the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra (Snapdragon 8E6), using TSMC’s 2nm process, which is the same as the flagship chip in the Pro series. This is also one of the few standard versions this year that does not cut corners and does not use the N-1 chip.

The imaging system is the biggest upgrade in this generation of standard version, which is the first time that a dual 200-megapixel solution has been adopted, and it is also the first time that a periscope telephoto lens has been included as standard.

The main camera features a 200-megapixel 1/1.28-inch large sensor, paired with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 200-megapixel 3x optical periscope telephoto lens, forming a dual 200-megapixel triple-camera setup.

In terms of battery life, the Xiaomi 18 standard edition has a built-in 7200mAh large battery, supports 100W wired fast charging and wireless charging, and the battery capacity and fast charging specifications are significantly improved compared to the previous standard edition.

It is worth noting that the Xiaomi 18 Pro series is the first to be equipped with hardware-level privacy screen technology. Through the innovative pixel structure layer, it achieves a wide viewing angle for ordinary pixels and makes the privacy pixels visible from the front. When privacy is enabled, only the privacy pixels work, thus achieving privacy from a physical level.

The Xiaomi 18 standard edition will not be equipped with this technology; the privacy screen is an exclusive feature of the Pro series, which is one of the core screen differences between the two models.

Of course, judging from the feedback from many users, not having a privacy screen is actually a good thing for ordinary users.
