Samsung hasn’t given up on curved screen development!

curved screens have gradually fallen out of favor in the Android market in recent years. As a pioneer in curved screen mobile phones, Samsung has even abandoned the curved design for its flagship S24 Ultra and switched to a flat screen.

But the latest patent shows that Samsung has not completely given up the development of curved screens.

It is reported that Samsung has obtained a new patent for curved screens in the new patent list recently released by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The patent document is 33 pages long.

The patent document shows that Samsung has made a new design to address the durability issue of the curved screen of mobile phones, introducing a double-layer sealing structure and special blocking components to prevent sealant leakage during assembly.

These blocking components fit snugly into the grooves of the phone frame and the curves of the screen, ensuring that the phone remains both rugged and beautiful.

The newly exposed patent seems to suggest that Samsung may return to the curved screen design in the future. However, it should be noted that the patent applied for by the manufacturer does not necessarily mean that it will be put into mass production, so whether it will actually be applied to the product needs further observation.

At present, there have been divergent reviews on curved screen mobile phones in the market. Their unique design can provide a more extended visual experience.

However, there are also problems such as easy damage, high repair costs, and difficulty in perfectly fitting the film. These factors make curved screens not the first choice for all users.
