Samsung S25 Ultra Chinese version supports satellite communication

 Samsung Galaxy S25 series has appeared in the 3C certification database. The certification information shows that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will support up to 45W wired fast charging technology, which is consistent with the previous generation products.

In addition, the device will also introduce a striking new feature-satellite communication. This is Samsung’s first Chinese flagship to support satellite communication (note: Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ do not support satellite communication).

As of now, mainstream brands such as Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, and Honor already support satellite communications. The upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra will also join the satellite communications camp. Among the flagship phones priced under 10,000 yuan, Apple’s domestic models do not yet support it.

It is understood that satellite communication is a technology that uses artificial satellites as relay stations to forward radio waves to achieve communication between two or more earth stations.

Direct connection between mobile phones and satellites means that mobile phones and satellites (high orbit or low orbit) can directly send and receive wireless signals to transmit and exchange data, and support voice, short message and broadband and narrowband data services.

Compared with terrestrial networks, mobile phone direct satellite communication systems are not easily affected by damage or failure of ground infrastructure. In the face of emergencies such as natural disasters, the signals of mobile phone direct satellite communications are relatively stable and the transmission quality is relatively high.
