Snapdragon 8 Elite Youth Edition! Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Elite 2 first revealed

Blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that Qualcomm will launch two flagship platforms, Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and Snapdragon 8s Elite 2 this year, with model numbers SM8850 and SM8835 respectively.

In terms of specifications, the Snapdragon 8s Elite 2 is expected to adopt Qualcomm’s self-developed architecture solution, which will be based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite and built on a 3nm process.

It is known that Snapdragon 8 Elite uses Qualcomm’s second-generation self-developed Oryon CPU. The new architecture includes 2 super cores and 4 performance cores. The CPU’s highest main frequency is as high as 4.32GHz, and the AnTuTu score exceeds 3 million points.

From the perspective of positioning, Snapdragon 8s Elite 2 is the “youth version” of Snapdragon 8 Elite. It also uses Qualcomm’s self-developed Oryon CPU solution, but the frequency setting is not as aggressive as Snapdragon 8 Elite, and its overall performance is not as good as Snapdragon 8 Elite.

It is worth noting that the Digital Chat Station also revealed that some sub-series iterative flagships at the end of this year will adopt the product strategy of Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and Snapdragon 8s Elite 2, which is different from previous product strategies.

In the past, sub-series flagships usually used the previous generation Snapdragon platform for the standard version and the new generation Snapdragon platform for the Pro version.
