 A few days ago, OnePlus officially announced that its new generation of Oriental screen will be unveiled next month, which is almost a clear indication of OnePlus 13.

The Oriental screen that was first launched on OnePlus 12 last year has gained a good reputation. After upgrading to the new generation, it will bring new improvements in screen quality, high-brightness display, and eye protection experience. Li Jie even said that “this will be the strongest 2K screen in the mobile phone industry to date.”

Moreover, this time, this screen has finally abandoned the traditional dual-curved design and instead adopted the full-depth four-micro-curved screen that is mainstream in current flagships. This change not only enhances the visual beauty, but also takes into account the usage needs of more users.

The back design has also been streamlined, removing the door panel shape and retaining only the iconic circular camera module in the upper left corner. This design seems to be inspired by the OnePlus Ace3 Pro ceramic version. The overall look is simpler, and the gap problem of the previous generation is also expected to be solved.

The imaging system is another highlight of the OnePlus 13. It is reported that the main camera uses the LYT-808 sensor, while the ultra-wide-angle and periscope telephoto are both equipped with LYT-600, which is IMX882. Compared with the OnePlus 12, although the main camera remains unchanged, the upgrade of the ultra-wide-angle and periscope telephoto significantly improves the diversity of photography and image quality.

In particular, the periscope telephoto LYT-600 sensor has a slightly larger sensor size than the previous generation OV64B, and its focusing ability is also better, but some netizens said that its telephoto ability is not as good as OV64B, and the actual experience on OnePlus 13 remains to be tested.

In terms of battery life, the OnePlus 13 will increase the battery capacity to 6000mAh, and will adopt a combination of 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. The specific energy consumption performance of Snapdragon 8 Gen4 is still unknown. If it can be as good as the previous two generations of chips, the battery life brought by 6000mAh is still quite impressive. 

In terms of peripheral configuration, OnePlus 13 also has everything it should have. NFC, dual speakers, X-axis linear motor, etc. have become standard, as well as IP69-level dust and water resistance and single-point ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, which further enhances the practicality of the phone.

In general, OnePlus 13 has achieved significant improvements in design and function while piling up traditional materials. However, compared with its big brother OPPO Find X8 Pro, its overall positioning is slightly lower, so it still has a certain advantage in price compared with the flagships of friendly companies. In terms of comprehensive configuration, it will be a strong opponent of Xiaomi 15 Pro.
