blogger i冰宇宙 broke the news that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be upgraded to 16GB of memory, which will be the most powerful flagship in the history of the Samsung Galaxy S series.
Currently, the Galaxy S24 Ultra comes standard with 12GB of memory. Even the 1TB version, which costs more than 10,000 yuan, still has 12GB of memory.
According to the leaks, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has crossed the 12GB memory threshold and is moving towards 16GB memory.
It is reported that the main reason why Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra upgraded its memory is that large AI models consume a lot of memory.
As we all know, large edge AI models rely on mobile phone hardware. In some cases, the memory capacity and memory bandwidth will affect the performance and efficiency of large model execution.
All these phenomena indicate that large edge AI models have high requirements for mobile phone memory. In the high-end flagship market, 16GB will gradually become the mainstream.
From this point of view, the emergence of AI has accelerated the popularization of large memory. If users want to experience more interesting AI functions, it is necessary to upgrade to large memory.
