The Honor X70 made its debut in July of last year, featuring an impressive 8,300mAh silicon carbon battery. According to a tipster, the company is now planning to release the Honor X80 which will reportedly boast a significantly bigger 10,000mAh battery.
Prominent insider Digital Chat Station has recently revealed that Honor is working on the X80 and the device is said to come equipped with a significantly larger 10,000mAh battery.
Notably, Honor has already launched the Win and Win RT in China, both featuring 10,000mAh batteries. The company also introduced the Honor Power2 with a slightly larger 10,080mAh cell early last month. Digital Chat Station reports that all three devices have performed well in terms of sales. Analysts suggest that the combination of massive batteries and reliable hardware has contributed to their popularity. On top of that, the devices’ overall performance and reliability have further boosted their appeal in the market.
As for the upcoming Honor X80, it is tipped to be powered by a next generation Snapdragon 6 series chipset likely the SM6850 which could be branded as the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5. The phone is also expected to feature a flat 6.81 inch LTPS AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. Sources further suggest that the handset may support advanced display features such as HDR for richer visuals. In addition it is said to include upgraded thermal management to ensure smooth performance even during extended usage.
