According to Fast Technology on October 3, the Magic9 series, with a starting price of 4499 yuan, has seen a surge in market enthusiasm since its official launch, with exceptionally strong sales across all channels. Many offline stores and online e-commerce platforms have experienced shortages, making it difficult to find the device.

Honor’s Vice President of Marketing and Global CMO, Guan Haitao, publicly responded to the situation, revealing that due to insufficient stock of popular versions, the number of user activations on the third day after the Magic9 series was released had increased by more than 70% compared to the same period of the previous generation, completely exceeding the team’s initial sales forecast.

Many consumers have asked in the comments section of related content why the brand did not prepare more stock in advance so that people wouldn’t have to wait and try to buy it but still not be able to get it.

Guan Haitao responded in a very straightforward tone, saying that poverty limited their imagination and the entire team had no idea that the market popularity of this new phone would reach such a high level.

On September 28, Honor officially held a press conference to launch the Magic9 series. The product line includes three models with different positioning: Honor Magic9 Pro Max, Honor Magic9, and Honor Magic9 Super Edition. The starting price of the entire series is 4499 yuan.

Honor CEO Li Jian previously revealed in an interview with the media that within just half an hour of the Magic9 series’ official launch, sales across all domestic e-commerce platforms had increased by 194% compared to the previous flagship series, almost doubling the growth rate. This is a rare example of an Android high-end flagship product that became an instant hit upon release in recent years.
