Huawei officially announced last week that it would upgrade the P series to the Pura series, and Pura 70 became the first model of this series.
With the launch of the Pura 70 series, Huawei is intensively preparing for the flagship products of the Mate 70 series and Pura 80 series.
Tipster said that the Huawei Pura 80 series will be equipped with OmniVision’s top sensor OV50X. This sensor has a large photosensitive element and supports LOFIC technology.
Compared with the Sony IMX989 used in the Pura 70 Ultra, the logic circuit layer of the OV50X is upgraded to the 22nm process. This change is consistent with the process upgrade of mobile phone processors, which results in a significant reduction in power consumption and the ability to accommodate more transistors (Sony IMX989 uses a 40nm process).
During high-load video recording, the 22nm advanced process technology will significantly reduce power consumption, which means users can achieve longer and more stable video recording.
In addition, OV50X is also equipped with LOFIC technology. When the mobile phone shoots a high-light scene, the sensor can record the highlight information in the scene, making the film closer to the light and shadow effect in reality.
As usual, the Huawei Pura 80 series will be launched in the first half of next year.
