Huawei Mate 90 Pro debuts with Kirin 9035: CPU clock speed boosted to 2.85GHz

Fast Technology reported that blogger Dingjiao Digital hinted that the Huawei Mate 90 Pro will be the first to feature the Kirin 9035 chip. As a higher-clocked version of the Kirin 9030 Pro, the Kirin 9035’s CPU clock speed has been increased from 2.75GHz to 2.85GHz, resulting in a further performance upgrade.

It is reported that the Kirin 9030 Pro’s CPU consists of one 2.75GHz super core, four 2.27GHz large cores, and four 1.72GHz small cores, and integrates a Kirin 935 GPU. Based on the specifications of the Kirin 9030 Pro, it is speculated that the Kirin 9035 will also adopt a 9-core design, including one super core, four large cores, and four small cores, with its overall performance second only to the Kirin 9050 Pro.

It is worth noting that the Mate 90 Pro Max and Mate 90 RS Master, which will be unveiled at the same time, will be equipped with the Kirin 9050 Pro, which is Huawei’s first flagship chip based on logical folding technology.

Its core is to replace geometric shrinkage with time (τ) shrinkage, and continuously compress signal propagation delay through innovative technologies such as logic folding, thereby improving transistor density and performance, and achieving a significant leap in performance without relying on advanced processes.

In the post-Moore’s Law era, as manufacturing processes gradually approach their physical limits, Huawei’s Tau Law approach has opened up a completely new direction for semiconductor evolution. It allows chip development to move beyond simply relying on advanced manufacturing processes. Currently, Huawei has mass-produced multiple chips based on Tau Law, providing a new engineering path for the global semiconductor industry.

In addition, both the Mate 90 Pro and Pro Max will feature dual-layer OLED screens and come pre-installed with the latest HarmonyOS 7 operating system. The phones are expected to be launched in October. With the release date approaching, the overall strength of the Mate 90 series is worth looking forward to.
