iPhone Air 2 Likely to Offer Better Battery Efficiency Alongside Camera Improvements

Although the iPhone Air impressed many users with dependable battery performance despite its slim design, long-term battery endurance remains a major concern for many regular users. In addition to battery-related worries, consumers are also concerned about the phone’s single-camera setup, particularly when compared to competitors offering multiple lenses.

Fortunately, Apple appears to be taking these concerns seriously and is expected to address them in the next-generation iPhone Air, at least based on the most recent reports and news.

Toward the end of December last year a report suggested that the iPhone Air could feature a second camera, most likely an ultrawide lens. More recently, fresh information from The Elec indicates that Apple is also working on improving battery life. Sources familiar with Apple’s plans claim that the upcoming iPhone Air 2 will adopt a new CoE display technology, which could also debut with this year’s iPhone Fold, if that device becomes a reality.

The CoE display technology helps make the overall display package thinner while also improving screen visibility in bright sunlight. As a result, the display can remain clearly visible without significantly increasing brightness levels, which leads to lower power consumption in well-lit environments.

With a thinner display taking up less space, there is likely more room inside the device. Apple may choose to take advantage of this additional space by including a larger battery to improve overall battery life.

Of course, all of this information is currently based on rumors. That said, since last year’s iPhone Air launch did not fully meet expectations, Apple is expected to address some of the shortcomings in the upcoming model.
