Lenovo’s 300,000,000th smartphone rolled off the assembly line in Wuhan: a moto foldable screen

Lenovo officially announced that Lenovo Group’s Wuhan Industrial Base has ushered in a historic moment: the 300 millionth smart terminal has successfully rolled off the production line.

To this end, Lenovo also held a small ceremony, where Zhang Wei, vice president of Lenovo Group and head of mobile device supply chain, unveiled the 300 millionth device: the latest moto razr 60 Pro folding screen.

Of course, it is difficult to say precisely that it is the 300 millionth unit. It is more of a symbolic meaning, or it can be said to be a marketing campaign for the moto folding screen.

Lenovo Wuhan Industrial Base was put into production in 2013 and completed a leapfrog development from 0 to 300 million units in 12 years. It has grown from a single-function manufacturing plant to Lenovo’s largest and most advanced mobile smart terminal R&D and manufacturing base in the world.

The smartphones and tablets produced here are exported to more than 160 countries and regions around the world.

As the largest foreign trade enterprise in Hubei Province, the base has been the largest export enterprise in Hubei Province for 10 consecutive years, with a cumulative export volume of more than US$50 billion.

In the first half of this year, the base’s industrial output value reached 23.6 billion yuan, and its export volume was approximately 2.5 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 13%.

In the global foldable screen mobile phone market, Lenovo’s moto razr series has performed remarkable well.

According to the latest data from the authoritative market research organization Counterpoint Research, in the second quarter, global shipments of foldable phones surged 45% year-on-year, with Lenovo Motorola’s market share reaching 28%, doubling in just one year.

This means that for every four foldable phones sold in the world, one comes from Lenovo Motorola.

In addition, according to data released by IDC, Lenovo Motorola’s mobile phone revenue ranked among the top four in the second quarter, and its shipments also ranked among the top five.
