He said: “I am optimistic about the 17 Air, mainly because it is not only thin, but if the weight of this model is right, then lightness is also a killer feature. If the folding screen is not too good, this ultra-thin, ultra-light, large screen is the right form factor (folding screens are also ultra-thin and ultra-light, just larger and foldable).

According to leaks, the iPhone 17 Air is positioned as light and thin, with a body thickness of about 5.5mm, making it the thinnest model in Apple’s history.

This time, Apple has removed the physical SIM card slot and only supports eSIM, an embedded SIM card technology that enables network connection by remotely downloading configuration files, thereby saving space inside the device.

Due to its thin and light nature, the battery capacity of the iPhone 17 Air is less than 3000mAh. In order to extend the battery life of the 17 Air, Apple has equipped it with its self-developed baseband chip C1. Compared with Qualcomm baseband, Apple’s C1 baseband is more power-saving.

In terms of core configuration, the iPhone 17 Air uses a 120Hz straight screen, is equipped with an A19 processor, is equipped with 12GB of memory, has a rear 48-megapixel single camera, and comes pre-installed with iOS 26.
