Nubia Z80 Ultra gets certified with 90W fast charging support

The Nubia Z80 Ultra has been certified and supports 90W fast charging.

The official has previously announced that the Nubia Z80 Ultra will be officially unveiled in October.

The phone will still maintain the highlights of previous generations, adopting a true hole-free full-screen form and equipped with a newly upgraded 1.5K hole-free screen, achieving an ultra-high screen-to-body ratio of over 95%. It is the only phone industry currently using a hole-free screen.

In addition, the Nubia Z80 Ultra is equipped with the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition mobile platform. This chip uses the industry’s most advanced TSMC third-generation 3nm process. Compared with the previous N3E, the process level alone can bring nearly 5% performance improvement and 5% power consumption reduction.

In terms of CPU, the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition uses Qualcomm’s self-developed third-generation Oryon core, which is still configured with 2 super cores + 6 performance cores. The main frequency of the super core reaches 4.6GHz, and the main frequency of the performance core also reaches 3.62GHz. The performance of the third-generation Oryon CPU has increased by 20%.

In addition, the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition uses a new Adreno GPU with a main frequency of 1.2GHz. Officials say that the new Adreno GPU has improved graphics performance by 23%.

Zhang Lei said that Nubia has carried out professional-level in-depth tuning of this chip, especially in the game adaptation level. We have invested a lot of energy and made detailed adaptations for different categories of games to release performance more thoroughly and bring everyone the strongest gaming experience ever in the Z series.

In terms of imaging, it is reported that this generation will return to the triple-camera solution, equipped with a unique large-bottom ultra-wide-angle lens, the sensor size is 1/1.55″, with 1μm large pixels, and the aperture is f/1.8. The edge distortion control will be better, and the performance in the same range will be outstanding.
