OPPO’s next-generation folding screen Find N5 is currently under testing. This time, Find N5 skips the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 platform and directly launches the Snapdragon 8 Gen4. It is the industry’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen4 folding flagship.
It is reported that in addition to being the first to launch Snapdragon 8 Gen4, Find N5 has also upgraded its zero-sense crease hinge, which is as flat as a straight-screen phone and is not only lighter but also more durable.
Compared with traditional hinge solutions, OPPO’s zero-sense crease hinge has a larger bending radius, which allows the screen bending and creep to be dispersed over a larger range, with smaller plastic deformation, resulting in smaller creases.
The principle is similar to origami. When folding paper, the smaller the radius of the fold, the deeper the crease. For this reason, the zero-sense crease hinge of Find N5 increases the bending radius and reduces the screen crease, reaching the industry’s first-class level.
More importantly, while achieving an extremely light and thin design, Find N5 also retains the periscope telephoto function. The new product will be launched in Q1 2025. It will be the most powerful folding screen flagship in the industry.
