REDMI K100 Standard Edition to be released at the end of the month: Snapdragon dual-core processor

According to a report by blogger “Smart Pikachu” on October 13th, the REDMI K100 standard edition is tentatively scheduled for release at the end of the month, featuring a Snapdragon dual-core processor, a large battery, an ultra-high refresh rate, and Bose tuning.

The timing of this release suggests it’s targeting the Double Eleven shopping festival, and the price is expected to be quite competitive.

In terms of configuration, the K100 standard version is expected to feature a 6.9-inch 1.5K AMOLED flat screen on the front, supporting a 185Hz ultra-high refresh rate and adopting a super pixel lossless arrangement.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Ultra, Qualcomm’s first product to use its self-developed Orion CPU architecture, built on TSMC’s 3nm process.

Equipped with two 4.32GHz super cores and six 3.53GHz performance cores, CPU performance and energy efficiency are both improved by about 45%. The GPU is an Adreno 830, and it supports LPDDR5X memory, so its overall performance is still in the top tier.

In addition, the device is equipped with a dedicated display chip that supports super-resolution and super-frame concurrency technologies.

Super-resolution technology uses algorithms to upscale low-resolution images to high-resolution ones, making them clearer and more detailed; super-frame technology, on the other hand, improves the smoothness of the game by interpolating frames, allowing the game’s frame rate to break through the native limitations.

Battery life is a major highlight of the new phone. The K100 standard edition has a built-in 10,000mAh silicon-carbon negative electrode battery, which is the highest capacity battery in the history of the REDMI K series and the first “10,000-level battery” phone in the Xiaomi system.

The charging combination is 120W wired fast charging, and it also supports 50W wireless charging; compared with the previous generation K90, the new phone makes up for the lack of wireless charging for the first time.
