Fast Technology reported that OnePlus China President Li Jie announced that the OnePlus 16 now supports native 165FPS + ultra-high graphics mode for “Honor of Kings”.
This is also the highest frame rate and highest graphics settings currently offered by the game. The new device will be officially launched tonight at 7 PM.
Li Jie revealed that he played a few games and the game remained smooth with full frame rate even after long periods of playing together. Skill combos were particularly responsive, and the team battle scenes were clearer.
According to Fast Technology, the OnePlus 16 is equipped with the fourth-generation Oriental Screen jointly developed with BOE. This screen can run at a global refresh rate of 165Hz, and can reach up to 185Hz in game scenarios.
Li Jie had previously responded that, due to the limitations of current screen hardware, it is not possible to achieve a global 185Hz refresh rate for the time being, and the priority is to ensure a stable 165Hz refresh rate for daily use.
The 165FPS setting enabled in “Honor of Kings” perfectly matches the screen’s global high refresh rate capability, resulting in a smoother gaming experience.
Most other phones can only run at 120 frames per second, but the OnePlus 16 goes straight to 165 frames per second, while also allowing you to set the graphics to the highest level, without having to compromise between frame rate and visual quality. To achieve this level of performance, not only do games need to be compatible, but the phone’s chip, screen, and power consumption control also need to keep up.
The OnePlus 16 uses the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra processor, which has sufficient performance. Combined with the Wind Rider gaming kernel, it strives to maintain a stable full frame rate for extended periods.
Let’s also summarize the hardware specifications of the OnePlus 16 that have already been revealed. The screen is a 6.78-inch 1.5K flat screen with a 1.15mm narrow bezel on all four sides. In terms of imaging, it features a rear camera setup with a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens.
The battery has a capacity of 9000mAh and supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. It also features a large X-axis motor, symmetrical dual speakers, 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and a maximum protection rating of IP69K.
It also boasts a high level of gaming-related configuration, including the self-developed G3 e-sports network chip and a high-precision master gyroscope.
For mobile gamers, the 165FPS and ultra-high graphics settings in “Honor of Kings” are a significant plus. Tonight’s launch event will reveal all the pricing and details; mobile game enthusiasts can tune in to the live stream to see how the device actually performs.
