Fast Technology reported that Yu Chengdong, Huawei’s Executive Director, Chairman of the Product Investment Review Committee, and Chairman of the Terminal BG, posted that as soon as he stepped off the stage, the Huawei Pura X View phone was taken away by enthusiastic Huawei fans in Chengdu, demonstrating everyone’s love for this wide, candybar phone.
It is reported that the Huawei Pura X View is the world’s first wide-screen smartphone, featuring a 6.39-inch screen with a display area of 114.27 square centimeters, which is larger than the 6.9-inch iPhone 17 Pro Max (Note: The iPhone 17 Pro Max has a display area of 111.55 square centimeters).
Moreover, the Huawei Pura X View boasts a 96.1% screen-to-body ratio, a thickness of only 6.68 mm, and a weight of 201 grams. Within this ultra-thin and lightweight body, it packs a 7000 mAh battery—larger than the iPhone 17 Pro Max—while remaining even thinner and lighter.
Yu Chengdong stated that the Huawei Pura X View’s ultra-wide field of view will bring a unique and expansive experience to scenarios such as watching videos, reading, gaming, and working. The display area is increased by 16% when watching videos on the wide screen and by 21% when browsing in portrait mode, making it a pocket-sized cinema, e-reader, game console, and office tool, meeting users’ needs in multiple scenarios.
Currently, the Huawei Pura X View is available on the Huawei online store, offering four colors: Midnight Black, Zero White, Shadow Red, and Linen Gray. All models come standard with 12GB of RAM, with up to 1TB of storage, and are pre-installed with the latest HarmonyOS 7 operating system.
According to official announcements, the Huawei Pura X View will open for pre-orders on August 20th at 18:08, with in-store experiences starting on August 28th. With the launch of pre-orders and experiences, more consumers will have the opportunity to experience the unique charm of this wide-screen smartphone up close.
