 Huawei Terminal announced a new member of the Extraordinary Master series – Mate XT.

Huawei’s Yu Chengdong reposted this Weibo, and the phone he used was the Mate XT Extraordinary Master.

It is reported that Mate XT will be the first folding screen mobile phone in the Extraordinary Master series, and is expected to be a three-fold form. In the preview video, the number “3” flashed by, indicating that the new product is a three-folding screen flagship.

Blogger Digital Chat Station hinted that the screen supplier for Huawei’s new Mate XT is BOE, which is also the first screen factory in the industry to mass-produce tri-fold screens.

Earlier in August this year, Yu Chengdong was photographed using a tri-fold screen mobile phone on an airplane. Judging from the exposed pictures, Huawei’s tri-fold screen mobile phone is very thin.

It is reported that Huawei’s three-fold screen adopts a complex structure of inner folding + outer folding + double hinges. The screen size is about 10 inches, providing a tablet-like user experience.

Currently, no manufacturer has launched mass-produced models in the three-fold field. Huawei is the first in the industry. This is because the three-screen folding puts higher requirements on the flexibility and durability of the screen and the strength of the hinge, which increases the difficulty of mass production.

Because of this, there have been reports that Huawei’s tri-fold screen will be the new generation of “electronic Moutai”, and scalper channels are expected to sell it at a higher price.
