Visionox surround screen unveiled: a throwback to Xiaomi MIX Alpha 5 years ago

 Visionox held a new product event for the Extraordinary Chinese Screen. In the event exhibition hall, Visionox displayed a surround screen prototype.

In the comment section, many netizens thought of Xiaomi MIX Alpha, which was unveiled in September 2019 and priced at 19,999 yuan, but it has not been put on the market for sale.

It is understood that Xiaomi MIX Alpha is a very forward-looking concept phone, not a mass-produced model. The surround screen it is equipped with is jointly developed by Xiaomi and Visionox.

Officials describe it as a complete screen-surrounding body with a screen-to-body ratio of over 180%. It uses layered surround bonding technology, 360° protective material bonding, and screw-in assembly technology, changing the traditional upper and lower assembly form of mobile phones and achieving a screen surround wrapping form.

In order to achieve the surround screen form, Xiaomi has made various attempts, including replacing the earpiece with screen sound technology, using multiple sensors and AI algorithms to prevent accidental touches, LCP high-integration antenna design, dual-sided pressure-sensitive screens, side screen buttons, side linear motors, flexible under-screen fingerprints, etc.

In terms of other configurations, MIX Alpha is equipped with a 108-megapixel camera and a 1/1.33-inch ultra-large photosensitive element. It has three rear cameras, the frame is made of titanium alloy, and the back of the body is black ceramic.

To this day, the industrial design of Xiaomi MIX Alpha is still very technological and highly recognizable.
