Vivo and Amap start cooperation on satellite rescue without network communication

 vivo officially announced today that it has started cooperation with AutoNavi Maps, which will enable users to initiate distress calls through satellite communications even when there is no network outdoors, making travel safer and more secure.

However, vivo has not yet announced the supported models, but the new flagship vivo X200 series will definitely be the first to support it.

It is expected that this function is connected to the AutoNavi satellite rescue function, which can directly connect to the Beidou satellite and Tiantong satellite through the satellite communication capability of the mobile phone to share positioning at any time. It can be used when in danger outdoors, and can also locate and call for help in no network scenarios.

It is worth noting that in addition to satellite distress calls, the vivo X200 series also supports kilometer-level network-free communication technology, which enables point-to-point, long-distance communication through Bluetooth connection in an environment without network or signal.

In previous concert scenarios, the gathering of thousands of people could easily lead to no mobile phone signal or network. However, the offline communication of vivo X200 can ensure contact.

Supports SOS text broadcast, one-to-one voice/text intercom, map location display, etc.

The intercom distance can reach 2km and the broadcast distance can reach 4km, easily covering the entire venue area without worrying about getting separated from friends.
