The upcoming Vivo X Fold 3, along with its Pro variant, has recently been registered with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, signaling its imminent launch. This new generation of Vivo’s folding smartphone is expected to feature significant upgrades, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform for enhanced performance.
A notable enhancement in the X Fold 3 is the inclusion of a 50MP dual-transistor primary camera, promising image quality on par with one-inch sensors, alongside a periscope telephoto lens adopting a large sensor strategy for mid-range zoom.
Continuing the trend of its predecessors, the X Fold 3 will maintain the highly praised single-point ultrasonic dual fingerprint recognition system, shifting to a 100W wired and 50W wireless charging specification, a change likely made to accommodate a slimmer design despite the reduction from the previous generation’s 120W fast charging.
The exact differences between the two new models remain unclear, but according to Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X Fold 3 series could debut as early as March this year, marking another leap forward in Vivo’s folding phone technology.
