Xiaomi 17 Pro series brings new ways to enjoy the rear screen!

Fast Technology reported that Xiaomi announced the launch of the “Enjoy the New Year with the Back Screen” feature for the Xiaomi 17 Pro series, bringing multiple New Year-themed wallpapers, New Year’s Eve countdown fireworks, and various fun daily activities.

It is understood that the New Year celebration wallpaper focuses on a sense of ritual: from the first day of the Lunar New Year to the seventh day, the system will automatically change the New Year wallpaper at 0:00 every day; the New Year countdown will start at 23:55 on New Year’s Eve, and fireworks effects will be automatically played at 0:00 when the screen is on.

Xiaomi explained that 
users can also light up fireworks remotely by making a “clench fist – open fist” gesture while facing the back screen, further enhancing the interactive experience.

In addition, the New Year AI wallpaper feature supports a variety of photo types, including solo photos, family photos, group photos with friends, and cute pet photos. Users can upload images to generate dynamic background wallpapers with a New Year atmosphere.

The official statement indicated that the aforementioned Lunar New Year features will be fully rolled out in mid-February.

As one of the core features of the Xiaomi 17 Pro series, the Magic Screen supports making and receiving calls, music control, taxi information display, and rear camera selfie preview.

When paired with a gaming phone case, you can also play mini-games like Angry Birds and Snake on the back screen.

During a live stream encore last October, Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing revealed that Xiaomi’s next-generation phone would continue to use a rear screen design and that the company would increase its R&D investment.
