the well-known digital blogger @i冰宇宙 revealed relevant information about Xiaomi’s new imaging flagship, which is expected to be the Xiaomi 15 Ultra to be released next year.
According to the blogger, the new phone will be equipped with a 200-megapixel periscope that supports more than 4x optical zoom, and will come standard with a full-focal-length quad-camera module.
In other words, this 200-megapixel periscope is the ultra-telephoto lens of Xiaomi 15 Ultra. In addition, the new phone will also be equipped with a sub-telephoto lens to achieve full-focal-length photography coverage with the main camera and ultra-wide-angle lens.
So far, the only mobile phone with a 200-megapixel periscope is the vivo X100 Ultra. It is equipped with a Samsung S5KHP9 sensor with a maximum output of 200 million pixels, a 1/1.4-inch photosensitive unit, and supports 3.7x optical zoom.
The 200-megapixel periscope on Xiaomi 15 Ultra is most likely the same CMOS as the vivo X100 Ultra, but its optical zoom ratio will be higher than that of the vivo X100 Ultra, and theoretically its resolution will be better.
