Xiaomi Mi 16 is reportedly testing a periscope telephoto lens to make up for the last shortcoming

Although many Android manufacturers have begun to enter the small-screen mobile phone market this year, Xiaomi 15 still becomes the current champion model of small-screen mobile phones with its unique feel and very comprehensive configuration.

Even the previous pain point of battery life has been compensated by Jinshajiang batteries. The only relative shortcoming at present is imaging.

Blogger “Smart Pikachu” recently revealed that Xiaomi 16 is already evaluating a periscope telephoto lens, which will greatly make up for the shortcomings of the digital series and become an extremely comprehensive small-screen phone.

In other aspects, Xiaomi 16 will still use the current settings, including a 6.36-inch small screen, a wrap-around middle frame, and so on.

In terms of performance, it is naturally equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850), upgraded to TSMC N3P process, which further improves energy efficiency and transistor density compared to N3E.

Compared with N3E, N3P has a performance improvement of about 4% at the same power consumption, a power consumption reduction of about 9% at the same clock frequency, and a transistor density increase of 4%. TSMC has stated that the N3P node yield has been further improved and is comparable to the mature 5nm process.

In addition, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will continue to use the cluster design of Snapdragon 8 Elite, still with a 2P+6E configuration, but the main frequency will be increased again.
