The launch of the Xiaomi Redmi K70 Pro smartphone is scheduled for November 29, 2023, this new model marks the tenth anniversary of the Redmi series.
A key feature of the Redmi K70 Pro is its debut of the “Light Hunter 800” image sensor, a 50MP sensor measuring 1/1.55 inches with a pixel size of 2.0μm and a dynamic range of 13.2EV. This sensor is part of Xiaomi’s newly introduced “Light Hunter” sensor brand, following the “Light Hunter 900” used in the Xiaomi 14 series.
The Redmi K70 Pro is expected to be a step down in specifications compared to the “Light Hunter 900”. Xiaomi also plans to introduce the “Light Hunter 400” auxiliary sensor, a 1/2.88 inch 50MP sensor, though it’s unclear which model will feature this.
The Redmi K70 series will offer three models: the K70E with a Dimansity 8300-Ultra chipset, the K70 with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and the K70 Pro with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The K70 Pro will start with a 12GB memory configuration, moving away from the 8GB standard.
