Xiaomi’s mobile phone sales in Q1 2025 increased by 40% in China but fell by 8.7% overseas

The latest data from the global and Chinese mobile phone markets in the first quarter of 2025 showed that Xiaomi has achieved significant growth in the domestic market, but is facing the challenge of a decline in overseas markets.

According to statistics from Canalys, a well-known market research organization, Xiaomi’s sales in the Chinese market surged 40% year-on-year, with its market share climbing to 19%, ranking first in sales with 13.3 million units sold .

However, Xiaomi’s sales in overseas markets fell by 8.7%.

In contrast, vivo achieved a 12.6% growth in overseas markets, while OPPO faced pressure from a double decline in domestic and foreign markets.

Apple showed a trend of “strong overseas, weak in China”. Its sales in overseas markets increased by 18.3%, but its sales in the Chinese market fell by 8%.

In terms of overseas sales share, Xiaomi’s overseas sales share has dropped to 68.2%, while vivo has surpassed it to 54.6%.
