Apple iOS 18 will be launched on June 10: Apple Music supports smart song transition function

 according to AppleInsider, Apple will bring improvements to Apple Music on iOS 18 and macOS 15 to support “smart song transitions.”

It is reported that the current song cutting function is “cross fade in and fade out songs”, which brings some smoothing effects and users can adjust it between 1-12 seconds.

In the future, iOS 18 and macOS 15 systems will support intelligent adjustment, using algorithms to adjust the optimal song switching time.

In addition, Apple is also developing a new feature called “Passthrough”. It has not been introduced in detail yet, but it is expected to be related to Dolby Atmos spatial audio.
