According to the information, Apple A17 Pro will debut in September 2023 and will be first equipped with the iPhone 15 Pro series. This is Apple’s first 3nm mobile phone chip.

It is reported that the A17 Pro has 19 billion transistors, equipped with two performance cores and four energy efficiency cores, as well as a 6-core GPU equipped with a dedicated AV1 decoder.

Apple said that the new central processing unit has achieved a speed increase of up to 10%, the speed of the neural network engine has also increased by 2 times, and the speed of the graphics processor has increased by 20% compared to before. Relying on hardware-accelerated ray tracing technology, the speed is 4 times faster than software-driven ray tracing technology.

It is worth noting that the iPhone 15 Pro series equipped with A17 Pro also supports Apple Intelligence. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 Plus, which were unveiled at the same time, are not equipped with AI. The latter two models are equipped with A16 chips.
