ColorOS 16 official version announced for November

OPPO recently released its new generation system ColorOS 16, which was first launched on the OPPO Find X9 series, OnePlus 15, OnePlus Ace 6 and other devices.

Meanwhile, OPPO and OnePlus have also begun intensive adaptation work on older models. Currently, the entire OPPO Find N5/X8 series and the entire OnePlus 13 series have been upgraded to the official version.

The official announcement today also revealed the models that will receive the ColorOS 16 official version upgrade in November, including 23 models such as the OPPO Find X7/N3 series and OnePlus Ace 5 series.

ColorOS 16 introduces a new generation of Aurora Engine, a new generation of Tide Engine, and a newly developed Star Compiler, improving the smoothness baseline. Based on these three smooth technologies, ColorOS will achieve comprehensive smoothness.

It brings the industry’s first chip-level dynamic frame tracking technology, realizing system-level animation performance optimization through software and hardware collaboration, which not only improves the smoothness of the system under heavy load by 37%, but also reduces power consumption by 13%.

The brand-new self-developed Star Compiler is based on the first self-developed Android cross-level fusion compilation technology, building a complete compilation chain from Java to dedicated hardware from scratch, enabling mainstream models to also have top-level smoothness.

But that’s not all. ColorOS 16 brings a revolutionary one-click note-taking feature, making complex images and text easy to remember, intelligently recording long videos, and jotting down fleeting inspirations.

In terms of ecosystem connectivity, ColorOS 16 fully integrates with the Apple Watch ecosystem, allowing OPPO’s Fluid Cloud to be seamlessly displayed on Apple Watch, and enabling ride-hailing, food delivery, food pickup codes, and flight/high-speed rail information to be fully available on Apple Watch.
