Coolpad releases the COOL80 entry-level phone: equipped with MediaTek G99.

Coolpad has launched the COOL80 entry-level mobile phone, equipped with a MediaTek G99 chip, priced at 819 yuan.

The overall dimensions are 168.5×76.3×8.2mm, and it is available in three colors: Sand Black, Dune Orange, and Glossy White . It features a 6.7-inch HD+ resolution IPS LCD punch-hole screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.

In terms of core configuration, the phone is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G99 processor , which is manufactured based on TSMC’s 6nm process. It features an octa-core architecture with two 2.2GHz Cortex-A76 large cores and six 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 small cores, and integrates a Mali-G57 MC2 graphics chip. It only supports 4G networks.

It has 6GB of physical RAM and supports 8GB of virtual memory expansion. It can also utilize the device’s internal flash memory to convert it into temporary running memory, so that the total effective RAM can reach 14GB when enabled.

The phone has 128GB of internal storage and is equipped with a dedicated memory card slot, supporting external memory cards up to 256GB. It supports dual SIM dual standby 4G full network compatibility and is compatible with two physical SIM cards being online and in standby mode simultaneously.

The phone features a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 13-megapixel rear-facing single main camera setup , without any secondary camera modules. The front-facing camera supports basic face recognition for unlocking but does not support advanced image algorithms such as night scene selfies or portrait blurring.

The top of the unit is equipped with an infrared remote control module, eliminating the need for an additional universal remote control. It can be directly matched with most household appliances such as air conditioners, TVs, set-top boxes, and fans.

With a built-in 4000mAh battery, it can last for 3 to 4 days in pure standby mode , about 6 hours of continuous short video playback, and more than 12 hours of continuous talk time.

The device has a USB Type-C interface, a charging power of 10W, does not support fast charging, but features wireless charging and reverse charging. It is compatible with most mainstream Type-C charging cables on the market.
