Details of Huawei Nova 12 Series Entry-Level Model With Price Tag of $140 Revealed

Huawei is gearing up to introduce the Nova 12 series, which is expected to be the brand’s last new smartphone release for the year. The series will include the Nova 12, Nova 12 Pro, and Nova 12 Ultra models. However, recent leaks suggest that Huawei will also introduce an entry-level version within the Nova 12 series, although its specific name is yet to be disclosed.

Specifications of the Entry-Level Nova 12

The entry-level model of the Nova 12 series is reported to feature a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 60-megapixel front camera. It will also boast the signature number 12 color scheme. Notably, this model will upgrade from a side-mounted fingerprint scanner to a more premium in-screen fingerprint sensor, aligning with flagship standards.

Diverse Range for Different User Needs

The Nova 12 series is designed to cater to a wide range of user requirements and budgets. The entry-level model is targeted at the 1000 yuan price segment, the standard Nova 12 aims at the 2000 yuan range, while the Pro and Ultra models are expected to be priced in the 3000 yuan and 4000 yuan segments, respectively.

Core Configurations and Chipset Details

The entry-level and standard Nova 12 models are anticipated to be powered by Snapdragon chips. In contrast, the Nova 12 Pro and Ultra variants are rumored to feature a new Kirin 5G chip, with specifications largely similar to the Kirin 9000S. The new chip’s large core frequency is slightly reduced by 0.13GHz compared to the Kirin 9000S, but the GPU remains the same, ensuring a comparable overall user experience.

Huawei’s Nova 12 series is set to offer a comprehensive range of models to suit various market segments, from entry-level to premium. The addition of an entry-level model with upgraded features like an in-screen fingerprint sensor highlights Huawei’s commitment to providing advanced technology across all price points. The series is poised to cater to diverse consumer needs, reinforcing Huawei’s position in the competitive smartphone market.
