Dimensity 8300 + 6.95-inch LCD screen! TLCD phone crowdfunding failed: refunds have been issued.

Fast Technology reported that a mid-to-high-end LCD phone called “TLCD Phone” was officially launched for crowdfunding some time ago, with the 12GB+256GB version priced at 2499 yuan and the 12GB+512GB version at 2899 yuan.

According to customer service, the crowdfunding campaign has been postponed, and the merchant has refunded users. This crowdfunding campaign has ended in failure.

This crowdfunding campaign was initiated by a user named “Xuantong Zizai” on Xiaohongshu. Because most mainstream mobile phones on the market have switched to OLED screens, and LCD screens are only available in low-end entry-level phones, this user customized a mobile phone himself.

In terms of specifications, the TLCD phone is equipped with a 6.95-inch BOE LCD screen, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and 1080P resolution, meeting the eye protection needs of LCD screen enthusiasts.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 mobile platform, with up to 12GB of LPDDR4 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage, it achieves an AnTuTu score of 1.67 million, which the company calls “the highest-scoring LCD phone currently available”.

It has a built-in 5000mAh battery and supports 45W wired fast charging.

The rear camera setup includes a 100MP autofocus main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor; the front camera is 32MP.

Limited by its status as a non-mainstream manufacturer, there are obvious shortcomings in supply chain integration, structural optimization, and lightweight design. The body weight of 255 grams even exceeds that of many large folding phones, and the body thickness is 9.1 millimeters.

It supports side fingerprint recognition, 5G full network compatibility, dual SIM dual standby, comes pre-installed with a pure Android system, is ad-free, and comes with a one-year warranty.
