Huawei Pura X2 wide folding phone to be released in April: upgraded with Kirin 9030

According to blogger Dingjiao Digital, the Huawei Pura X foldable foldable phone will be released in March, with an expected sales date in April, which is basically confirmed.

The second generation is expected to continue the design of the previous generation and be named Pura X2. It will continue to adopt the “short and wide” folding design, but the internal screen may be increased to 7.6-8 inches, making it a wide-ratio large folding screen.

To date, the Huawei Pura X remains the industry’s only wide folding screen, featuring a special 6.3-inch 16:10 display with a ratio close to that of a tablet, increasing the display area for users in various scenarios such as watching movies, creating content, and browsing.

It’s worth noting that multiple sources have confirmed that the foldable iPhone uses a similar design, with an unfolded aspect ratio similar to a tablet, setting it up for a head-to-head competition this year.

In addition, the Pura X2 will be upgraded to the Kirin 9030 chip, the same chip used in the Huawei Mate 80 series, which adopts a brand-new 9-core architecture and significantly improves performance.

In terms of imaging, it is expected to be equipped with a red maple quad-camera system, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 1.5-megapixel multispectral channel red maple primary color camera.

In addition to the Pura X2, the all-new Mate 80 GTS is also expected to debut in the first half of the year, equipped with the Kirin 9030 Pro and an active cooling fan, becoming the first flagship phone with the new Kirin chipset that focuses on performance.
