Motorola is getting ready to introduce its new Signature series smartphone tomorrow and just before the launch, well known tech leaker Evan Blass revealed all of the device’s specifications.
The Motorola Signature is set to be a high end flagship smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. It could feature up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage making it both powerful and spacious. The device is likely to sport a 6.8 inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,780 x 1,264 pixels and a 165Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The screen is also expected to include a 50 megapixel front camera, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and protection from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The back of the Motorola Signature is rumored to feature a set of three cameras. The main camera is expected to be a 50MP shooter with a Sony LYTIA 828 sensor measuring 1/1.28 inches and an f/1.6 aperture, designed for bright and detailed photos. It will likely be paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens called the LYTIA 600 which has a 71mm focal length and 3x optical zoom for capturing distant subjects. The third camera is expected to be a 50MP ultrawide lens, equivalent to 12mm which can also double as a macro camera for close up shots.
Elsewhere, the Signature smartphone is said to feature both IP69 and IP68 ingress protection which should make it resistant to water and dust. The device will reportedly be powered by a 5,200 mAh battery which supports fast wired charging at 90W. It is also said to support 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging, allowing the phone to charge other devices. According to reports, Motorola will include its 90W TurboPower charger in the box.
The Motorola Signature is expected to come with Android 16 pre-installed and is said to include a long term update plan offering up to seven years of operating system upgrades and security patches to keep the device secure and up to date. In terms of its physical dimensions, the phone is reported to measure 162.1 millimeters in height, 76.4 millimeters in width and 6.99 millimeters in thickness while weighing 186 grams. Interestingly, these measurements are very similar to the ones that were previously rumored for the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra.
