Galaxy S26 Wireless Charging Features May Disappoint Some Users

Earlier rumors suggested that Samsung might integrate built in magnets into the Galaxy S26 lineup to support Qi2 wireless charging. This move would have allowed the phones to align more closely with Apple’s iPhones and the upcoming Pixel 10 series. Unfortunately, a fresh leak suggests that this upgrade may not be happening, which could be a letdown for users eager for built in magnet functionality rather than add on solutions.

Tipster @UniverseIce reports that Samsung has decided against adding built in magnets to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, citing confirmation from multiple trusted insiders. While the leaker did not explicitly mention the Galaxy S26 or Galaxy S26+ it is reasonable to assume that these models may also lack integrated magnets. As a result, the lineup would likely miss out on automatic magnetic alignment with Qi2 accessories including wireless charging pads, stands, car mounts and magnetic wallets.

Samsung is said to have upgraded wireless charging capabilities across the Galaxy S26 lineup.
