Huawei Mate70 series engineering machine design exposed: rear-centered elliptical lens

Recently, CNMO noticed that the well-known whistleblower “Digital Chat Station” revealed the design of a new flagship engineering machine from a major manufacturer: it uses an equal-depth four-curved screen with centered 3D face recognition, both versions are positioned in a conventional large size, with a metal right-angle middle frame and power button fingerprint unlocking, and a rear-centered elliptical lens + single periscope.

The new phone is unique in that the battery cover does not use metal material, perhaps thanks to the significant improvement in energy efficiency of the new processor, which reduces the need for heavy heat dissipation materials.

Although the leak did not mention any name, based on speculation from many parties, the phone is most likely the Huawei Mate70 series.

It is worth noting that the blogger emphasized that the engineering machine is for reference only and the final mass-produced version may be subject to changes.

The Huawei Mate70 series is unique in biometric technology, choosing a combination of 3D face + side fingerprint, which is in sharp contrast to the current popular trend of ultra-thin optical under-screen fingerprint/single-point ultrasonic fingerprint.

As for the release time, it is expected to be released in November this year, which is about two months later than the Mate60 series, and may be closely related to the adaptation progress of the Harmony NEXT system.

Previously, Huawei senior executive Yu Chengdong revealed that Harmony NEXT will be officially commercialized with the Mate70 series in the fourth quarter. The system is built on OpenHarmony and is expected to improve the overall performance of the device by 30%, triple the connection speed, and reduce power consumption by 20%.

In terms of configuration, it is expected that the entire Huawei Mate70 series will be equipped with a 1.5K OLED screen as standard, equipped with the latest processor, the rear main camera and OmniVision’s customized domestic large-bottom sensor, and a built-in ultra-large-capacity battery.
