Huawei officially launched the nova 16z today. The new phone is primarily available through online channels and starts at 2699 yuan.
In terms of appearance, the Huawei nova 16z is available in three colors: Sky White, Mother-of-Pearl, and Starry Black. The rear camera features an oval frame with rounded rectangular lens elements, making it highly recognizable.
The new device features a 6.7-inch OLED flat screen with a resolution of 2412 x 1084, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate.
The Huawei nova 16z is equipped with the Kirin 8020 chip and comes pre-installed with the HarmonyOS 6.1 operating system, supporting features such as panoramic smart recording and Xiaoyi’s world view. It also features a theme based on the nova series’ spokesperson, the Teens in Times group.
In terms of imaging, the Huawei nova 16z features a rear-facing 50MP ultra-high-definition lens, a 12MP RYYB telephoto portrait lens with image stabilization, and a red maple primary color lens.
The telephoto lens supports OIS optical image stabilization, while the front camera is a 50-megapixel lens.
In terms of functionality, the rear camera supports features such as in-video flash shooting, portrait mode, personalized color chart, AI-assisted composition, stage mode, AI cloud enhancement, AI dynamic photos, video HDR Vivid, fast-paced flash shooting, night mode, telephoto picture-in-picture, AI photography master, smile capture, and voice-activated shooting.
In terms of battery life, the Huawei nova 16z has a built-in 6000mAh battery and supports 100W fast charging.
In addition, the new device also supports functions such as Beidou satellite messaging, AI anti-spy protection, Star Shield anti-fraud, and AI remote transmission.
